What is ODSP Employment Supports?
It's for people with disabilities who are able to work and want help to find a job.
Ability Learning Network is an Employment Supports service provider for ODSP. Our Employment Specialists can help you find a job, get you ready for a job interview, provide supports while you are on the job or even help you start up your own business.
ODSP - Employment Supports can help you even if you have never worked before, have been out of work for some time, or are in school.
You do not have to be receiving financial assistance from the Ontario Disability Support Program to be eligible for Employment Supports.
Once you start working, you can also get assistance to keep your job or to advance your career.
Who is Eligible for ODSP Employment Supports?
To be eligible for ODSP Employment Supports, you must
· be 16 years of age or older
· be a resident of Ontario
· be able to work in Canada
· have a disability that is expected to last a year or more, and
· have a disability that makes it hard for you to find or keep a job.
If you are a student and you wish to work part-time while you are going to school, you may be eligible for Employment Supports.
Ability Learning Network is a member of the The Job Opportunity Information Network (JOIN), Toronto Region.
JOIN is an initiative of agencies that offer employment assistance and deliver ODSP Employment Supports services to persons living with disabilities in Toronto.
JOIN agencies help people with disabilities find and maintain work, and assists employers to recruit qualified candidates to meet their hiring needs.

What is OW Employment Placement?
It's for people receiving Ontario Works benefits who want help finding a job.
Ability Learning Network is an Employment Placement service provider for Toronto Social Services and we help people on Social Assistance find work.
When you're ready for a job, we can connect you with employers who are hiring and help you prepare for the interview.
Here are some examples of the kinds of services we provide to help you find a job:
· workshops on looking for work,
· job search assistance,
· resume writing,
· preparing for an interview,
· information on who's hiring, and
· access to telephones, faxes, computers and job banks.
